=>The green mobility initiatives in Hansalpur, Gujarat:
PM flagged off the “e VITARA”, Suzuki’s first Made-in-India global strategic Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) which will be exported to more than one hundred countries.
- PM also inaugurated local production of hybrid battery electrodes at the TDS Lithium-Ion Battery plant in Gujarat.
- This ensures that over 80% of battery value will now be manufactured within India.
About Battery Electric Vehicles
- These run entirely on a battery-powered electric drivetrain, which can be charged by plugging into the electricity grid.
- Main Components of BEV: Electric motor, Inverter, Battery, Control Module, Drive train etc.
- Working Principle: The power for the electric motor is converted from the DC Battery to AC.
=>Chandrayan 5: India and Japan have formalised an agreement for the Chandrayaan-5 mission, also known as the Lunar Polar Exploration (LUPEX) mission, to jointly explore the Moon’s south pole. ISRO and JAXA will collaborate to study volatile materials, particularly water, in the permanently shadowed regions.
=>Arohan: NHAI launches Project Aarohan to support education of toll plaza workers’ families.
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched a Project Aarohan to support the educational aspirations of toll plaza employees. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said that the initiative aims to remove financial barriers and provide equal access to quality education for students from economically weaker sections. Speaking on the launch of the initiative, NHAI Chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav said Project Aarohan reflects the commitment of NHAI towards toll plaza employees and their families.
=>Semiconductor revolution in India: India's semiconductor industry is poised for significant growth, with projections estimating a market size of $100-110 billion by 2030. This growth is fueled by increasing digitalization, government initiatives like the India Semiconductor Mission, and the rising global demand for electronic products. While currently reliant on imports, India is actively working to reduce this dependence by boosting domestic manufacturing and fostering innovation in the semiconductor sector. GoI is working with zeal to full its needs and then turning itself in a chip hub.

Independence Day speech.
=>NISAR launched: The first joint satellite of ISRO and NASA to study land and ice deformation, land ecosystems, and oceanic regions in areas of common interest to the U.S. and Indian science communities. GSLV-F 16 successfully places NISAR satellite in orbit. NISAR is NASA & ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar.

=>India's 1st city with QR-based digital house address: Indore Launches India’s First QR-Based Digital House Address System. In a landmark move under India’s Smart Cities Mission, the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) has launched the Digital House Address Project, integrating QR codes and GPS technology to replace conventional address formats. This first-of-its-kind initiative in the country is set to redefine urban administration, improve civic service delivery, and bring standardisation to India’s chaotic addressing system.

=>India to conduct its Census in 2027: India will count its population by March 1, 2027, in a census to be held after an unprecedented 16-year gap, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs announced on Wednesday (June 4, 2025).
