=>Hanley Passport Index 2026 (Revised): In the revised 2026 Henley Passport Index, 

the Indian passport significantly improved to 75th place with visa-free/visa-on-arrival access to 56 destinations, rising 10 spots from 85th in 2025. Despite a slight reduction in total visa-free access by one country, the overall ranking improved due to greater relative mobility.

Key Findings in the 2026 Henley Passport Index (Revised Q1/Early 2026):

  • Indian Passport Performance: Ranked 75th, with access to 56 destinations (visa-free, visa-on-arrival, or e-visa).
  • Ranking Shift: Moved up from 85th place in 2025, marking a significant upward trend.
  • Global Top Spots: Singapore holds the top spot with access to 195 destinations. Japan and South Korea rank second.
  • Other Rankings: The lowest-ranked, Afghanistan, provides access to 26 countries

=>The corruption perception index 2026: Of the 182 countries ranked in the 2025 CPI, published in February 2026, the top scorers included Denmark (89), Finland (88), and Singapore (84), while those perceived as the most corrupt included South Sudan (9), Somalia (9), and Venezuela (10).

India Moves Up In Global Corruption Index 2025; Highlights Journalist Safety, Governance Concerns. Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index 2025 has placed India at 91st out of 182 countries, with a slight improvement in ranking but continued concerns around governance and institutional safeguards


=>The Responsible Nation Index 2026: The Responsible Nations Index (RNI) is a 2026 Indian-led global ranking that assesses 154 countries based on ethical governance, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility rather than just GDP or military power. Singapore tops the inaugural list, with India ranking 16th.

=>Hanley Passport Index 2026: India has climbed five places to rank 80th. Indian passport holders now enjoy visa‑free or visa‑on‑arrival access to 55 destinations. This marks a recovery to its 2024 position, after dropping to 85th in 2025. India shares the 80th spot with Niger and Algeria, underscoring the challenges it still faces in expanding travel freedom.

Singapore remains the strongest passport of 2026, with access to 192 destinations, followed by Japan and South Korea.
