- Aims for 2022: Indian govt. laid this as the route-map of developing India:

- "Nipun Bharat Mission": launched by Union Education Ministry. National Initiative for Proficiency in reading with Understanding and Numeracy(NIPUN). The mission will cover the learning needs of nearly 5 crore children in the 3-11 age group Teacher education and early grade curriculum will be redesigned for a renewed emphasis on FLN
- Light House Housing Project: Six Technology providers have been selected through rigorous online bidding process for construction of Light House Projects (LHPs) at six differnet locations in six states. LHPs are model housing projects with houses built with shortlisted alternate technology suitable to the geo-climatic and hazard conditions of the region. This will demonstrate and deliver ready-to-live houses with speed, economy and with better quality of construction in a sustainable manner. It was inaugurated for 6 states by PM Modi. The Light House Projects will be undertaken at Rajkot in Gujarat, Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, Indore in Madhya Pradesh, Ranchi in Jharkhand, Chennai in Tamil Nadu and Agartala in Tripura.
- "Operation Calypso": to bust International Drugs smugglings. This operation was launched by the Directorate of Revenue intelligence.
- "Delhi-Gaziabad-Meerat Rapid Transit Road System: is to be completed with the loan of $ 500 million from World Bank.
- "OPeration Thunder": By INTERPOL & World Customs Organization conducted this operation in 103 countries against Environmental Crimes.
- Oil Palm Project: launched in Manipur to put as an alternate to Jhoom & Poppy cultivation in the state,
- Prasar Bharti: to launch 51 education channels. //***// Project Air Care: started in Gurugram(Haryana).
- Mission Sagar II: the Indian Naval Ship Airavat entered Port Sudan as part of Mission Sagar Phase II. Under Mission Sagar, India is currently providing assistance to its friendly foreign countries to help them overcome the COVID-19 pandemic and natural calamities. INS Airavat was carrying a consignment of 100 tonnes of food aid.
- National Authority of ships Recycling: will be founded in Gujrat.
- Hans JalDhara Project: is a program of Uttarakhand Govt. to provide drinking water.
- Jojila Roadway Tunnel: Zojila Tunnel project shall bring to fruition, 30 years of overwhelming public demand of Kargil, Drass and Ladakh region. Other Projects:
1. Sagarmala Project---------------------------
The vision of the Sagarmala Programme is to reduce logistics costs for EXIM and domestic trade with minimal infrastructure investment. This includes:
• Reducing cost of transporting domestic cargo through optimizing the modal mix
• Lowering logistics cost of bulk commodities by locating future industrial capacities near the coast
• Improving export competitiveness by developing port proximate discrete manufacturing clusters
• Optimizing time/cost of EXIM container movement
As part of the Sagarmala Programme, more than 610 projects (Cost: Rs. 7.78 Lacs Cr.) have been identified for implementation, during 2015-2035, across the areas of port modernization & new port development, port connectivity enhancement, port-linked industrialization and coastal community development. As of 31-July-2019, a total of 542 projects (costing around Rs. 4.75 Lac Crore) were under various stages of implementation, development and completion.
2. Bharatmala Project------------------------------------

For connecting the areas and maintaining a smooth flow of traffic, the construction of new and developed roads are a must. The same will be achieved with the implementation of the Bharatmala project. Under the scheme, a host of new roads will be laid down in the nation.
Bharatmala Pariyojana is a new umbrella program for the highways sector that focuses on optimizing the efficiency of freight and passenger movement across the country by bridging critical infrastructure gaps through effective interventions like the development of Economic Corridors, Inter Corridors and Feeder Routes, National Corridor Efficiency Improvement, Border and International connectivity roads, Coastal and Port connectivity roads and Green-field expressways.
3. Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, Shivaji Memorial---
The proposed Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (‘MTHL') has been planned to facilitate the decongestion of the island city by improving connectivity between the Island city and the mainland (Navi Mumbai) and the development of the Navi Mumbai Region. The link was envisaged about 35 years back.
Earlier three attempts in the year 2006, 2007 and 2013 by the Government authorities to take up the Project in various modes including PPP and EPC did not succeed.
Govt. of Maharashtra, vide G.R. dated 4th February 2009, decided that the project will be owned and implemented by Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). Govt. of Maharashtra, vide G.R. dated 8th June 2011, designated the project as a Regional Development project.
4. Arunachal Pradesh on Rail Map-----------------------
Naharlagun railway station is a railway station located in Papum Pare district of Arunachal Pradesh. It is about 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) to the state capital Itanagar.
Projects about to be completed include the first rail connectivity projects in Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh, along with crucial gauge conversion between Rangpara and North Lakhimpur, which would connect Arunachal Pradesh to the rest of the country. The three projects entail a cost of about Rs 3,000 crore. “Our deadlines for the first rail connectivity to Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh are set at March 2014, and we will achieve it this time,” said a Railway Board official.
Railway’s goal of providing connectivity to all state capitals of the northeastern region, a survey was conducted in 1997 for a new line from Harmuti to Itanagar and the project was sanctioned in the 1996-97 Railway Budget as a Metre Gauge line. The approval of the state government was received in 2006, but the alignment had to be changed in 2010 at the request of the state government and finally, the line was taken up as a Broad Gauge line from Harmuti to Naharlagun.
5. Setu Bharatam Project-------------------------------------
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the Setu Bharatam program for building bridges for safe and seamless travel on National Highways, in New Delhi today. Speaking on the occasion he said that a good infrastructure network is vital for the growth and development of a nation. He said that in order to satisfy the aspirations and long-felt needs of people it is necessary to bring in a qualitative change and a comprehensive, integrated approach in developing infrastructure in the country.
Speaking on the occasion Road Transport & Highways and Shipping Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari informed that the Setu Bharatam program aims to make all National Highways free of railway level crossings by 2019. This is being done to prevent the frequent accidents and loss of lives at level crossings. The Minister informed that 208 Railway Over Bridges (ROB)/Railway Under Bridges (RUB) will be built at the level crossings at a cost of Rs. 20,800 crore as part of the program.
6. Rashtriya Rajmarg Zila Sanjoyokta Pariyojna-----------
The Rashtriya Rajmarg Zila Sanjoyokta Pariyojna, approved by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a review meeting last week, entails the development of 6,600 km of highways at an estimated cost of about Rs 60,000 crore.
• “Under the Rashtriya Rajmarg Zila Sanjoyokta Pariyojna, roads will be developed to connect100 district headquarters across the country. The 6,600 km of national highways do not have uniform configuration across the length. These would be upgraded to ensure better connectivity,” said a senior official in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH).
7. Inland Waterways----------------------------------------------
Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI), anticipating an increase in cargo traffic, plans to purchase 8-10 inland cargo vessels to operate on two key waterways – the Ganga and the Brahmaputra.
Following the Government’s push to this mode of transportation, it expects there will be a demand for 150-200 barges/vessels on the Ganga (National Waterways 1) in the next 3-4 years.
8. Chardham-Highway Project-----------------------------------
Char Dham Expressway National Highway (Hindi: चार धाम महामार्ग), is a proposed two-lane (in each direction) express National Highway with a minimum width of 10 meters in the state of Uttarakhand. The proposed highway will complement the underdevelopment Char Dham Railway by connecting the four holy places in Uttarakhand states includes Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri The project includes 900 km national highways that will connect the whole of Uttarakhand state.
The total cost of INR Rs.12000 crores and the foundation stone of the project was laid by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on 27 December 2016 at Parade Ground in Dehradun. The highway will be called Char Dham Mahamarg (Char Dham Highway) and the highway construction project will be called Char Dham Mahamarg Vikas Pariyojana (Char Dham Highway Development Project) and is made to improve the connectivity to the Chota Char Dham centered in the Himalayas.
9.Highest Bridge of the World on River Chenab-------------
The Chenab Bridge is a railway steel and concrete arch bridge under construction between Bakkal and Kauri in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir in India. When finished, the bridge will span the Chenab River at a height of 359 m (1,178 ft) above the river, making it the world's highest rail bridge. In November 2017 the base supports were declared completed allowing for the start of the construction.
