* RAMSAR sites in India: no. of such sites rose to 46 from 42 as 4 new sites are added recently. These new sites are: Newly included are two wetlands in Gujarat, the Thol Lake Wildlife Sanctuary and Wadhvana Wetland, as well as the Sultanpur National Park in Gurugram and the Bhindawas Wildlife Sanctuary in Jhajjar district of Haryana.
