This time, the Paralympics brought a big bundle of applauds. India finishes 24th with a record of 19 medals. India grabbed a maximum no. of medals to its purse.

There were a total of 54 Indian athletes in Tokyo Paralympics 2021 who were playing these nine international sports. In total there are 4,537 players participating in Paralympics 2020. The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was Shot-putter Tek Chand. Shooter Avani Lekhara was India's flag-bearer at the closing ceremony of the Tokyo Paralympics today. Lekhara has become the first Indian woman to win two medals in the same Paralympics in addition to being the first Indian woman to win gold at the Games. The 19-year-old has won Gold in the 10-meter air rifle and Bronze in 50 meter rifle 3 position
