India achieved a massive feat after winning a rare double gold at the Chess Olympiad 2024.men's and women's teams clinched their maiden gold medals in the 45th Chess Olympiad after beating their respective opponents in the final round. The men's team defeated Slovenia after D Gukesh, Arjun Erigaisi and R Praggnanadhaa won their respective matches in the 11th and final round match. The women's team beat Azerbaijan 3.5-0.5 to clinch the title.

=>US open 2024: Jannik Sinner of Italy and Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus won the men’s and women’s singles titles of the 2024 US Open Grand Slam Tennis tournament, respectively. It was the first US Open title for Jannik Sinner and Aryna  Sabalenka.

=>Asian School Boxing Championship 2024: Indian boxer Deepali Thapa won the title held in UAE, creating history as won by an Indian boxer for the 1st time.

=>Durand Cup 2024: The 2024 Durand Cup Final saw NorthEast United beat the defending champions Mohun Bagan to win this tournament and the club's first ever trophy in their history.

India make history at U17 World Wrestling Championships with first team title as Kajal wins fifth gold. Indian women signed off with eight medals, including five gold, one silver and three bronze and collected 185 points overall to finish at the top of team tally for the first time. Tradition powerhouse Japan finished second with 146 points and Kazakhstan were third with 79 points.

Mumbai won a record-extending 42nd Ranji Trophy title, beating Vidarbha by 169 runs on the final day of the 2024 season. Chasing a daunting 538-run target Vidarbha put up a commendable fight with skipper Akshay Wadkar scoring a hundred but Mumbai spinners ensured Vidarbha were bowled out for 368.
