=>Jimmy Carter: Jimmy Carter, the 39th US President passed away at the age of 100 in Georgia on Sunday. He was the longest-lived president in the history of the United States. 

=>Dr.Manmohan Singh: Former Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh has died at the age of 92.

Singh was one of India's longest-serving prime ministers and he was considered the architect of key liberalising economic reforms, as premier from 2004-2014 and before that as finance minister.

=>Shyam Benegal: Shyam Benegal, a renowned Indian film-maker known for pioneering a new wave cinema movement that tackled social issues in the 1970s, has died aged 90 after suffering from chronic kidney disease.

=>Tabla Maestro Jakir Hussain: Zakir Hussain, one of the most celebrated tabla virtuosos of all time, passed away at the age of 73 in San Francisco due to complications arising from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

=>Bibek Debroy: Bibek Debroy, Chairman Of PM's Economic Advisory Council, Dies At 69.A Padma Shri awardee, Mr Debroy earlier served as the chancellor of the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE) in Pune.

=>Ratan Tata: The Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons and recipient of India’s second highest civilian honour, Padma Vibhushan, Ratan Tata passed away on 9/10/2024 at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. He was 86 years old.

=>Sitaram Yechuri, CPI(M) general secretary:  Sitaram Yechury, CPI(M) general secretary, passes away. He is survived by his wife Seema Chishti, editor of The Wire, daughter Akhila, and son Danish. 

=>Dr. Ram Narayan Agarwal: the man/mind behind the Agni missile left us.

=>Srinivas Hegde: The director of the Chandrayan-1 mission passes away at the age of 71.

=>Peter Higgs: Peter Higgs, Nobelist Who Predicted the ‘God Particle,’ Dies at 94

The Higgs boson was named for him. It was a key element of the Standard Model, which encapsulated all human knowledge so far about elementary particles. Peter Higgs in 2013. ==>Indian-origin eminent mathematician & founder director of General Motors passes at 76: Dr T N Subramaniam, an eminent mathematician of Indian origin who was a founder and director of American auto giant General Motors, passed away here on Tuesday. He was 76. Subramaniam, who migrated to the US in 1979, was renowned in academic circles in India and the US. He leaves behind him a rich legacy of mathematical models and theories for the world of maths. He was hired by General Motors to build mathematical models for GM cars.

 =>Fali Nariman: Eminent jurist and Senior Advocate Fali S Nariman passed away in the early hours of February 21 at the age of 95. His career as a lawyer spanned over 75 years with the last half-century being spent as a senior advocate of the Supreme Court of India.

=>Ameen Sayani: the darling radio anchor, of Geetmala fame, passes away. Renowned radio personality Ameen Sayani, famous for his iconic voice behind 'Binaca Geetmala', has sadly passed away at the age of 91

=>Gazal Maestro "Pankaj Udhas breathed his last: He was 73. He was reportedly suffering from a prolonged illness.
