=>5 new sports will be played in 2028 LA Olympics: The International Olympic Committee (IOC) approved five new sports for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics in 2023:Baseball/softball, Flag football, Lacrosse, Squash & T20 cricket

=>Neeraj Chopra: This time stood up to 2nd rung, and got a silver medal.

=>India Hockey: Indian Hockey team had to face Spain for the 3rd place, and successfully got a bronze medal defeating Spain.

=>Swapnil Kusale: led the India medal tally to 3 bronze by winning another bronze in shooting.

=>Manu Bhakar: is the 1st Indian player to win a medal in the Paris Olympics, She won a bronze medal in 10 meter pistol shooting event

The proud Indian added another feather in her cap by winning another bronze medal in 10 meter Pistol shooting mixed double with her countryman Sarabjot Singh.

She is the 1st Indian to win 2 medals in the same edition.

The opening ceremony was held on 25th of the July, 

it was for the 1st time not held in a stadium but on the bank of French Iconic river Seine.

The torch bearer for the Indian contingent was Abhinav Bindra.
