=>New Vice-President of India: India elects new vice-president in midterm vote. India has elected CP Radhakrishnan, a nominee of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led alliance, as the country's next vice-president, weeks after the previous person to hold the post resigned abruptly.
Radhakrishnan won 452 valid votes in the 781-member electoral college - made up of members of the upper and lower houses of parliament - to defeat opposition-backed Sudershan Reddy, a former Supreme Court judge.

The Union government appointed Finance and Revenue Secretary Tuhin Kanta Pandey as the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). He is replacing Madhabi Puri Buch and is now the 11th chairman of the Board. Pandey is a 1987 batch IAS officer of the Odisha cadre.

=>ISRO gets new chairman: V Narayanan, The new chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Dr V Narayanan, is one of the key people behind India’s self-reliance in cryogenic technology, which powers all the modern-day heavy-lift rockets being used for high-profile space missions.
He also diagnosed the problems that led to Chandrayaan-2's failure and recommended the corrections needed for the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3.
