=>Recently, 2 more RAMSAR sites were added from India: As of January 30, 2026, India has added two new wetlands to its Ramsar list, bringing the total to 98. The newly added sites are Patna Bird Sanctuary in Uttar Pradesh and Chhari-Dhand in Gujarat. These additions boost wetland conservation and biodiversity efforts under the Amrit Dharohar initiative just ahead of World Wetlands Day 2026.
