The session marked 20 years of the International Convention against Doping in Sport. Convention adopted in 2005 and came into force in 2007.

=>Chandrayan 4: Chandrayaan-4 is a planned lunar sample return mission of ISRO and the fourth iteration in its Chandrayaan programme..India's Chandrayaan-4 lunar sample-return mission, a complex joint effort with Japan, is slated for a 2028 launch. This initiative aims to explore lunar resources and develop crucial operational technologies. Concurrently, ISRO is progressing with its manned lunar mission target of 2040 and the Bharatiya Antariksha Station by 2035.

=>Indian CEC to head international organisation: India's Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar is set to assume the position of Chairperson of the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) for the year 2026.
Kumar will officially take charge on December 3, 2025, during a meeting of the member states in Stockholm, Sweden, and will preside over all council meetings throughout 2026.

=>Nyoma Airbase: The importance of Nyoma Airfield, located at 13,700 feet above mean sea level, can be understood from the fact that it is in Eastern Ladakh and is around 30 km inside the LAC.
The conversion of a mud airstrip at Nyoma, close to the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in south-eastern Ladakh, into a full-fledged airbase capable of handling fighter operations, offers several operational and logistics advantages to the Indian Armed Forces, but the base is not without some vulnerabilities.
